You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone.
Our Perinatal Peer Support Program provides free, accessible support led by Lifewise-trained Peer Supporters with lived experience of the perinatal period, including mental health, substance use health, and/or addiction challenges. They understand that this time can bring joy, uncertainty, stress, and unexpected moments, and are trained to offer safe, non-judgmental support from someone who truly understands.
Whether you attend a support group, join a wellness workshop, or connect one-on-one, our focus is the same: to listen, understand, and remind you that you are not alone. Support is available online and by phone across Newfoundland and Labrador, with in-person support available in the metro area.
Who This Is For: Supporting Every Unique Perinatal Journey
- New and expecting parents
- Parents looking for connection, support, or someone who understands
- Individuals experiencing mental health, substance use health, and/or addiction challenges during pregnancy and early parenting
No diagnosis or referral is required, and you can access peer support alongside other professional supports if you are already connected elsewhere.
You may choose to reach out if you’re having a difficult day, feeling lonely, overwhelmed, or simply wanting to talk with someone who understands. You might also reach out if you’re navigating emotional challenges during pregnancy or early parenting, looking for information about resources, services, or support groups, or wanting to reduce isolation and connect with a community.

How it Works
